Special Land Survey Contract Worker – Special land survey contract workers and engineers engaged in special land survey work in Bihar have started a movement regarding their demands. On the call of the Sangh, it has been decided in the entire Bihar to work wearing black bands from 11th August to 14th August regarding their five point demands.
Workers also registered their protest in Dalsinghsarai region of Samastipur district. Under this, workers in the land survey camp located in the archives building also registered their protest by working with a black band tied on their arms in support of their 5-point demands. Camp in-charge Nisha Arya said that on the call of the union, this protest will continue till August 14. She also said that if the government does not consider their demands, then a state-level indefinite strike will be started from August 16.
Their demands include ensuring service period up to 60 years, five-mark preference on the basis of experience in promotion, pay scale in accordance with equivalent posts, issuing orders as per the agreement reached between the union and the department on 07 June 2022 and 21 January 2023 And all survey contract workers are provided with SIC card and government contribution in EPFO. At present, the work of land survey is in progress in Bihar. If the demands of the workers are not met, then the survey work may be disrupted in the coming time.
On this occasion, camp in-charge Nisha Arya, special survey law officer Ram Narayan Sahu, special survey Amin Vikas Kumar, Seemant Kumar, Shivam Kumar, Pratigya Yadav, Sapna Kumari, Neeraj Kumar, Afash Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Priyanka Kumari, Tanu Priya special survey clerk Ragini Kumari, Mitthu Kumari registered their presence.
