OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Combined Section Officers’/Stenographers’ (Gr. ‘B ‘/Gr. -I) Limited
Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006, 2007 & 2008.

There has been a backlog in the grade of Section Officer/Steno grade ‘B’ Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for the past four years due to the prolonged litigation in the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in W.P. (C ) No. 4876/2007. The same has now been disposed off by the lion’ble High Court. Accordingly, the necessary notification for conducting a Combined SO grade/Steno grade ‘B’ LDCE for 2006, 2007 & 2008 has already been issued by the UPSC. The examination will be held in December, 2010.

2. In view of the backlog of these exams, the need of the hour is to bring out results in a compressed time schedule and in a time bound manner. In the past, one of the reasons for delay in finalizing the results of the exam is the delay in collection and collation of ACRs of the candidates, who qualify the written part of the exam. In a preliminary meeting with UPSC by this Department it was assured that concerted efforts will be taken to complete the ACRs of all the candidates, who apply for the examination so that there is no delay in obtaining the ACRs at a later stage.

3. It is, therefore, requested that the complete ACR Dossiers of all the candidates, who have applied for the post of Section Officer of CSS and Private Secretary of CSSS for the Combined Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2006, 2007 & 2008 be kept in readiness so that the APARs/ACRs of the successful candidates can be sent to IJPSC once the results are out. If there are any APARs/ACRs, which have below benckrnark grading, the same may be settled well in time as per procedure laid down in this Ministries O.M. No. 21011/1/2010-
(Estt. A) dated 13th April, 2010. /
